Qualifications
I hold a BSc(Hons) in Integrative Counselling from Roehampton University, London, incorporating the models of Person-centred, Psychodynamic and Existentialism.
My main work involves counselling adults and, alongside this, specific counselling for teenagers and older people. I work with individuals only, and do not offer couples counselling. I have experience with a number of counselling agencies, and am currently a volunteer counsellor and intake assessing counsellor with a local youth service, which requires me to hold a current CRB certificate. I have also worked as a qualified nurse and have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework for good practice. Being accredited with this professional body means that I have achieved a substantial level of approved training and experience.
I am also a Registered Independent Counsellor on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP). I have regular supervision and training as part of my continual professional development.
